Every Kid, Every Day
Every Kid, Every Day is a promise to the children of Bentonville Schools that a hot lunch will always be available to them. Dr. Janet Schwanhausser, Executive Director of Finance, realized school districts across the country were facing the very real challenge of negative lunch account balances, including Bentonville Schools. Some districts opted to ask the child to step out of the lunch line and call his parents while others have offered children a cheaper brown bag lunch. Dr. Schwanhausser wasn't satisfied with either solution. Instead, she created the Every Kid, Every Day Campaign.
"No child in Bentonville Schools will ever be denied a hot meal because of inability to pay nor will they find themselves embarrassed in a lunch line. Every Kid, Every Day is our way of publicly proclaiming our commitment to our children and we invite others to join us in this season of giving,” stated Dr. Schwanhausser.
Bentonville Schools’ employees have the opportunity to purchase a $15 shirt and community members are encouraged to consider a donation. All proceeds will be used to offset negative lunch account balances.
