Hello Woodland Nation!

 

Woodland Elementary is hosting a Title I Annual Meeting on Monday, May 20 at 5pm.  This meeting will be held in the Woodland Cafeteria.  

 

You will learn about the Title I, Title II, and Title IV programs at Woodland Elementary.  These programs provide funding for our school to help students achieve.  At this meeting, we will talk about our programs and will answer any questions you might have.  The staff will explain:

·  The curriculum used at our school.

·  How we use Title I, Title II, and Title IV funding.

·  What it means to be a Title I schoolwide program.

·  The assessments we use and what they mean.

·  The proficiency levels we will help your child to meet.

·  Activities that you can do at home to help your child succeed. 

·  How you can be involved at school.


Scholarship Application Deadline Reminder

 Cameron County High School seniors and graduates are reminded that the application deadline for the John Schwab Educational Fund Scholarship and the Guy S. and Mary L. Felt Education Fund Scholarship is May 31, 2024.

 These scholarships were established by their benefactors exclusively for the educational assistance of worthy, talented, industrious, and needy young men and women of Cameron County.

 Applications are available by request from F.N.B. Wealth Management or through the Cameron County High School Guidance Office.  Past recipients must reapply each year for consideration.

 IU9 Local Task Force presents The Hartranft Family!! Ben Hartranft, diagnosed with autism at age 2, knew only 20 words. He is now living his dream by speaking full time at schools sharing his story on the power of inclusion and kindness. His mother will share her experience raising a child with autism. Research suggests that a positive school climate can support student success. This year, Cameron County School District has decided to gather data on students’, staff, parents’ and community members’ perceptions of the school climate. This data will help the school leadership team and staff identify areas of strength and areas for improvement.
