School Nutrition Program

Building Healthy Students: Minds and Bodies

Dear Parents,
Our mission is to be a partner in the educational process by providing quality meals and create nutritional education opportunities for parents and students that promote HEALTHY CHILDREN, READY to LEARN.

The School Nutrition Program will assist our students in getting the nutrition they need to learn, grow, and develop. Menus must adhere to strict guidelines issued by the USDA. Each meal planned must provide the required (USDA) number of food components and meet the nutrient standards for the age/grade group served. Menus are posted online and on Facebook.

Our District is afforded the wonderful opportunity to provide meals at no cost to students for this school year, 2023-2024, as a part of the federal funding partnership of the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). Our District will not issue, process, or collect Free/Reduced meal applications this year.

Sincerely,

Vanessa Hayes, Chief Nutrition Officer, MPA CC SNS
