Child Nutrition

The West Baton Rouge Parish School System Child Nutrition Program provides healthy nutritious meals to students daily. We believe that good nutrition is the key to learning and every student has the right to be served a hot, nutritious and tasty breakfast and lunch.

We are excited to announce all enrolled students attending West Baton Rouge Parish Schools are eligible to receive a healthy and nutritious breakfast and lunch for FREE for each day of the 2023 – 2024 School Year. Encourage your child to dine with us!

School menus follow the meal requirements under the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program and offer healthy choices to students. Menus have been made healthier by adding a variety of fruits, vegetables and whole-grain rich products daily and students may choose fat-free white or fat-free flavored milk with each meal. Check your child’s school website or with the cafeteria manager for weekly menu updates.

STUDENT MEAL MODIFICATIONS: For students needing meal modifications, submit a signed Diet Prescription Form from a medical authority licensed to write prescriptions in the state of Louisiana to the cafeteria manager at your child’s school. The diet prescription form is located below.

MEAL PRICES:
Student Breakfast: one free meal each school day
Student Lunch: one free meal each school day

Teacher/Staff Meal Prices: Breakfast $2.75 Lunch $4.00
Visitors/Guest Meal Prices: Breakfast $3.25 Lunch $6.00

EXTRA SALE ITEMS INCLUDE: Extra entrée, extra vegetables, extra fruit, extra roll, extra milk, ice cream, cookies, fruit juice, bottled water, etc.
Students cannot charge Extra Sale items. Additional money will need to be deposited into your child’s account or have cash on hand.
