Our student actors are to be commended for their work on the play Spring Break! On Friday they performed it here at the FAC, and on Saturday we went out to Alden HS where they performed once again. Collaborating with students from a different school, working on the same piece in both a 70 seat intimate setting, as well as Alden's 800 seat aud, and frankly exploring realistic acting, was a big challenge!They approached the work with a terrific spirit of openness and kindness all the while being strong ambassadors for our school.

On April 20th, 2024 our Global Concepts Charter School Jazz Ensemble performed at the Buffalo State University Jazz Festival. We were one of just four high school jazz ensembles selected to perform at this event. These schools included St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute, City Honors School and Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts. Our students had the honor of performing with guest artist and guitarist Bob Sneider, who is the professor of jazz guitar at the prestigious Eastman Conservatory of Music as part of the festival.
