Mancos School District is taking proactive steps to ensure the continuation of free meals for every student by applying for the USDA's Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). We will be notified of our application at the end of June. IF we are approved, we will be able to continue free meals for every student. If not, we will revert to students having to pay, unless their family qualifies with free and reduced application.
Over the past year, our dedication to serving free meals has been a cornerstone of our efforts to create a supportive and nurturing school environment. Through CEP, we aim to further strengthen this commitment, ensuring that no child ever has to worry about where their next meal will come from.
The CEP program offers an incredible opportunity to expand our reach and impact within the community, fostering a culture of inclusivity and well-being. By participating in CEP, we affirm our belief that every child deserves access to healthy food, setting the stage for academic success and lifelong wellness.
