Good morning North Country. Today is Friday, May 17th, and it is a B day. 


Announcements:


Shoutout to everyone who had a part in last night’s Spring Dance & Drama Concert.

It was outstanding!


The Gym & Senior Lounge will be closed today during block 1B, Pod & 2B. All P.E. classes at this time will meet in Room 380.


We will be hosting our annual Pops Concert next Wednesday, May 22nd at 6:30pm in the auditorium. This year's theme is Broadway. We hope to see you there!


Army JROTC invites students to a demonstration of the State of Vermont's Civil Support Team (CST) at the Vermont Army National Guard armory on Wednesday, 29 May during 3rd block.  A bus will be provided from the school to the armory and back.  The CST is specialized to respond to all hazards that are chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive in nature.  Free pizza and drinks will be provided.  The event is limited to the first 60 students that sign up.  Email Major Dan Bartlett (daniel.bartlett@ncsuvt.org) at JROTC to sign up.


Congratulations to Lonnie Wade who was selected by the 2024 senior class to speak at the graduation ceremony on June 8th.  We look forward to hearing from Mr. Wade on this important and special day.


In Sports:


Today’s games


Varsity softball lost 7-4 to Lake Region at home on Thursday. Tyra Scelza went 3-for-4 with 2 runs scored.  Varsity softball will host Lyndon on Saturday 5/18 at 10am.


Varsity baseball lost 7-4 to Lake Region on Thursday.  Logan Cross went 2-for-4 and Tate Parker had a RBI double in the first inning. Varsity baseball will host Lyndon on Saturday 5/18 at 10am.


JV baseball and softball play at LR today at 4:30pm.
