K-12 Public School
As part of collaborative efforts between the State and the USDA to enhance summer nutrition programs, the Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer Program for Children (S-EBT) or Sun Bucks will officially launch this summer. S-EBT provides grocery-buying benefits to low-income families with school-aged children when schools are closed for the summer. Please see the attached S-EBT letter.

The Ohio Department of Education is thrilled to announce the State of Ohio FY24-FY25 biennial budget includes funding to cover the cost of providing no-cost breakfast and no-cost lunch to students qualifying for reduced-price meals. Click on the title for more information.
On Monday, May 1, 2023, Lt. Governor Jon Husted unveiled a video, and corresponding toolkit, for Ohio students and parents that highlights the different career pathway options that lead to a great paying career in Ohio. "Find Your Career Pathway” aims to inspire Ohio’s students and educate them on the many learning and training opportunities available right here in Ohio that can lead to a great job. A top priority of the OSSC is increasing information sharing and communication. Victimizations, bullying, and other disorders such as drug and alcohol use are often not reported directly to school authorities or even to parents and guardians. Oftentimes this is because students do not want to be identified, don’t want a friend or classmate in trouble, or simply don’t know how or where to report these threats. The OSSC wants to make sure students are aware of the resources available to them and know they have a safe space to share their concerns.
