Quakertown Community School District 2024-2025 Budget Notice

On April 25, 2024, The Board of School Directors of the Quakertown Community School District approved the Proposed Final Budget for Fiscal Year 2024-2025 which totals $145,746,801. This amount includes $5.3 million in Capital Expenditures. The proposed millage rate is 177.37; that rate reflects a 3% percent millage (tax) increase over the 2023-2024 millage rate.

PLEASE NOTE: The Board of School Directors will consider options between 0% and 3% when adopting the final budget on June 13, 2024.

**Notice is given that the proposed Final Budget for the General Fund of Quakertown Community School District for the 2024-2025 fiscal year in its most recent form will be made available for public inspection on the Quakertown Community School District Website: www.qcsd.org, and is expected to be presented for adoption as a Final Budget at the School Board meeting to be held at 7:00 p.m. on June 13, 2024. If an individual is unable to access the proposed final budget on the District website, a printed copy may be obtained by contacting Stacy Reiss via email at [email protected].

The budget may be amended before final adoption.

COMPREHENSIVE PLAN 2024-2027

Each school district in Pennsylvania is required to develop a Comprehensive Plan. The Comprehensive Plan is the district's strategic plan to clarify goals and action steps to lead to greater outcomes for our students and the district.

Over the last several months, the Quakertown Community School District has worked with a Steering Committee of stakeholders including community members, students, educators, other school personnel, and administrators to create the 2024-2027 Comprehensive Plan. The plan is required to be posted 28 days before a board vote (March 28, 2024). If there are any questions or concerns regarding the plan, please email [email protected] .

No tax increase in 2023-24 budget

The Quakertown Community School Board unanimously approved the 2023-2024 budget at its June 8 meeting. It was the third time in four years the millage rate did not change for Quakertown property owners.

QCSD Special Education Plan, 2023-2026

Each school district in Pennsylvania is required to develop a Special Education plan aligned with its strategic plan. The plan reflects ongoing programs and services and incorporates anticipated changes in programming as a result of corrective action generated by cyclical monitoring and improvement planning and other factors.
