Please pick up a free-and-reduced paper application at any school office and fill it out to help qualify for P-EBT, and to help our schools document the requirements for Provision 2 status - the programs that provide meals free of charge.

The virtual application "Mealtime Online" is not available at this time.

Important Update #2 - Summer Food Program will happen! Free meals for a limited run in July

A Summer food program will take place after all this summer. On Mondays through Thursdays from July 8-25, Brookings-Harbor School District will offer lunch to youth ages 0-18. A to-go bag will also be provided to participants with breakfast for the following day. There will be no BOB Bus service this summer. The sole meal site will be the Kalmiopsis Elementary Cafeteria at 650 Easy Street.

Menus will be shared on this page as the start date in July approaches.

Outside of free summer meals, state and local resources are available to support families during this period. Eligible students can access additional support through the Summer EBT (S-EBT) program, which provides additional funds for families to purchase groceries. The local Brookings-Harbor Community Helpers Food Bank will also continue offering its Snack Pack program this year Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from June 17-Aug. 30.

El Distrito anunció anteriormente el 24 de Abril que no habría programa de comidas de verano este verano, pero los planes han cambiado y aquí hay un nuevo anuncio con las fechas del programa:

Las comidas gratuitas estarán disponibles de lunes a jueves del 8 al 25 de Julio. El Distrito Escolar de Brookings-Harbor ofrecerá almuerzos a jóvenes de 0 a 18 años y se proporcionará una bolsa para llevar con el desayuno del día siguiente a los participantes. Free or Low-Cost Internet Services Available to All Households with Kids at Schools Participating in the Community Eligibility Provision

In the 21st century, high-speed internet is a necessity – especially for students. That’s why the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law created the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) to lower internet costs. The ACP provides eligible households a discount of up to $30 per month off their internet bills (or up to $75 per month for households living on Tribal lands), as well as a one-time discount of up to $100 off an eligible connected device like a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet. In many cases, households can get high-speed internet without paying a dime by choosing a fully covered internet plan. On August 8, 2022, the Food and Nutrition Service published a PartnerWeb announcement to promote participation in the ACP. This letter is a reminder that a household is eligible to participate in the ACP if a child in the household receives free or reduced-price school meals. Therefore, every household with a child attending a school participating in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) of the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program is eligible for ACP benefits. Households can learn more and apply for the ACP at GetInternet.gov.
