As part of the District's policy for serving meals to students under the California Universal Meals Program (AB 130), breakfast breaks are provided at the morning elementary recesses and morning passing periods at middle and high schools. Hear from our Franklin Elementary School and Cope Middle School principals about how breakfast breaks are making a positive impact for their students.

Community Eligibility Provision

Community Eligibility Provision

Dear Parent or Guardian:

We are pleased to inform you that Redlands Unified School District (RUSD) will continue the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for all RUSD students for school year 2023-24.

Every school day, all students are eligible to receive one healthy breakfast and one lunch at no cost for the 2023-24 school year.  Your Children will be able to participate in these meal programs without having to pay a fee or submit a meal application.

As part of the Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010, RUSD is CEP qualified based on the high enrollment of CalFresh, CalWORKs, Medicaid and the number of students that are foster and homeless.  This letter may serve as notification to qualify your student(s) for waived fees for school expenses such as AP, SAT, and PSAT testing or waived college application fees.  This letter may also qualify you for reduced utility rates.

Should you have any questions, please call our office at (909) 307-5366, ext. 24103 for English and 24104 for Spanish.
