IMPORTANT PROGRAM INFORMATION

It is imperative that each family completes a NEW meal application beginning July 1, 2023.  One application per household is needed to determine your students' eligibility.

Parents should be aware that eligibility for student meals is used to determine a student’s eligibility to receive Summer-Electronic Benefit Transfer (S-EBT). For this reason, School Districts must make meal applications available to certify children for meal benefits and to qualify newly eligible children for SY 2023-24 and summer 2024 S-EBT benefits.

Meal applications collected for SY 2023-24 are subject to verification. 

Households that do not qualify for free or reduced meals should complete the meal application because doing so drives school funding decisions, teacher eligibility for bonuses, and reporting under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) and individual student eligibility for additional academic support services.

Meal applications will be accepted the entire school year; however, the benefits mentioned above are only calculated from the data from the household meal applications that are completed by October 1, 2023.
