The Food & Nutrition Department is dedicated to supporting the educational process by providing nutritious, flavorful and affordable options that fuel students’ bodies and minds. We believe that meals should be both nourishing and enjoyable; we take pride in offering a variety of foods that excite our students and satisfy their diverse needs. All items sold & served within our schools are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines for Americans.

Stick 2 Reading is Back!

The wait is over! MPS' free book distribution program is back June 3-26 at multiple schools and all three public library locations. Check out the calendar of events and make sure to join us at that specific time and place to pick up a free book for your summer reading list. All attendees ages 18 and under also qualify for a free meal lunch! (except at library locations) Each event will also feature a special guest to entertain the families and inspire children to "stick" to reading! 🌵📚

Free Summer Meals

The school year is over and summer fun is about to begin! Mesa Public Schools Food & Nutrition Department is offering the USDA Summer Food Service Program. This program provides FREE breakfast and lunch for children 18 years of age and younger at participating sites. Free meals are available in the cafeteria during meal service times. Meals are not available for “grab & go”, per USDA regulations. Adults can eat breakfast for $2.75 and lunch for $4.75.

Our online menus can be accessed in two ways:

Mobile Menu App

We are pleased to announce a new mobile menu app that offers an easy way to view menus and nutrient information right from your smart phone. “Web Menus” by ISITE Software, a product of LINQ, is available for Mesa Public Schools on Android and Apple devices.

2023-2024 Free and Reduced-price Meal Applications

Free and reduced meals are available to those families that qualify based on the Federal Eligibility Income Guidelines released by the USDA each school year. Meal applications are available online or paper. It can take up to 10 business days to process your meal application.  It is not necessary to fill out a paper application if you have completed the online application.
