Welcome to Bruneau-Grand View!

At Bruneau-Grand View Joint School District, we want to see “Every Child Learning.” Located in the southwestern corner of Idaho, our small, tight-knit community is dedicated to the success of every child. Involved parents, caring citizens, and high-achieving students are just a few of the ingredients in our recipe to success.

We welcome you to our online home, where you can learn more about our exceptional schools, our student athletics programs, and all the special events that make our district stand out from the rest. We welcome community and parent involvement. Find out how you can help!

Letter from Our Superintendent

Bruneau-Grand View Patrons,

As a reminder for all who live within the district boundaries, please do plan to vote on Tuesday, May 21. Election voting polls are located in Grand View Community Center, Bruneau Legion, and the Oreana Hall. Polls are open until 8:00 p.m.

Some folks have made comments as to why "we" have not been more aggressive in promoting the levy. As recently as 2023, new laws have made promoting and advocating very restrictive for district employees. Often, patrons are not aware of the high stakes of violating the “Integrity in Elections” Act, Idaho Code 74-601. The Act states that public entities and their employees and public officials are not authorized to use public funds, property, or resources to advocate for or against a ballot measure or candidate. It is a form of accountability that carries with it strong penalties, up to nullifying an election.

Any third-party group is welcome to organize and promote a "yes" or “no” vote without any issue; however, the district and its employees can only "educate" in conversation. We cannot, as an extension of the school district funds, use our position to promote or advocate a "yes" for the levy. My position as district administrator has been to present facts as they pertain to continuing our district mission, and to put together a plan as to how we can move forward with or without the support of a levy.

Please do exercise your privilege to vote at the May 21 election.

Thank you,

Jeff Blaser
