Mission Statement

The Brooklyn Unit School District is committed to creating and sustaining a positive, respectful, and safe environment where learning is valued and promoted.  Students are expected to develop an appreciation of learning to become able, confident, lifelong learners who achieve their highest potential.  To fulfill this mission, the Brooklyn School District will:

• Engage parents and community in the success of our students
• Provide a learning environment with high expectations for students and staff
• Improve students’ academics by equipping them with college and career readiness skills
• Challenge all students to excel in ways that nurture their individual talents and skills
