DNR Table
Meteorology Class Studies Fire Weather Students in Mrs. Malloy's meteorology class have been studying different weather features, including weather conditions that affect fire danger. Today, Steve Crigier, a forester for the DNR out of Kalkaska and a certified smokejumper through the US Forest Service, and Josh Gray, a Fire Supervisor for the DNR out of Traverse City, came to speak to the class. Steve and Josh discussed what wildfires are, what goes in to containing/controlling fires, and conditions that would increase or decrease fire danger. Thank you, Steve and Josh, for sharing your knowledge with MHS today!
Chief Jenn Seeley
School Resource Officer Mancelona Public Schools is excited to introduce our School Resource Office, Chief Jenn Seeley. Chief Seeley is already making an impact with her positive interactions with students, staff and families. We are grateful to the Village of Mancelona for their partnership in this endeavor. Chief Seeley will be a visible, active law enforcement figure on our campuses to create a safe school environment and provide a law enforcement resource to school administrators, teachers, and students. Welcome Chief Seeley!
