Greetings Wayne-Westland Families,
As we approach Memorial Day weekend, it is important to remember that Memorial Day is not only a time for picnics and gatherings but also a solemn occasion to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. It's a time to reflect on their courage, selflessness, and dedication to preserving the freedoms we hold dear.
Dear Wayne-Westland Community Schools Students, Staff and Families,
Thank you for sharing such heartfelt sentiments during Teacher Appreciation Week. Their dedication and hard work often go unnoticed, so it’s heartwarming to know our teachers and staff felt appreciated and loved this week. When parents and students come together to express their gratitude, it creates a nurturing environment that benefits everyone involved. To respect our neighborhoods, please arrive no earlier than 1 hour before distribution start times. Early arrivals will be asked to return later.
Anyone in need of food is encouraged to attend and receive 30 pounds of nutritious groceries, like milk, fresh fruits, vegetables, lean protein and other shelf-stable items. No appointment is needed.
