Survey Request: SAU 39, Amherst School Board

On March 12, 2024 Amherst residents were asked to vote on a bond request of $49,997,241 for the renovation and construction of an elementary school on the existing Wilkins School site.  The bond (Warrant Article 12) was defeated with 54% of voters in favor and 46% of voters opposed.  A 60% majority is required.  Facility planning in the Amherst School District (Clark-Wilkins Elementary School and Amherst Middle School) is ongoing and remains a top priority for SAU 39 leadership.

The Amherst School Board values resident and stakeholder feedback. To that end, the Board is asking for your feedback regarding next steps related to this bond. The survey should take 3-5 minutes to complete.  This survey will be open May 30, 2024 and close June 10, 2024 at 8:00 am
